Here is an honest guide to what each one is, where the colour comes from, and how to wear it.
First, what moissanite actually is
Moissanite is silicon carbide — a crystal that occurs in tiny amounts in nature (it was first identified in a meteorite crater) but is grown in a laboratory for jewellery. Two facts explain why it sparkles the way it does. It has a refractive index of 2.65, higher than diamond's 2.42, which is why it throws noticeably more rainbow 'fire'. And it scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it one of the hardest gemstones used in jewellery and very well suited to everyday wear. Moissanite is its own stone with its own character — we don't describe it as a diamond, and we won't here.
Where the colour comes from
Colourless moissanite is grown to be as clear as possible. Fancy-colour moissanite gets its hue in one of two ways: trace elements introduced as the crystal is grown, which gives stable colour all the way through the stone (yellow, green and blue work this way), or a fine surface coating, which is how rainbow moissanite gets its multicoloured flash. The difference matters for care — a coated stone should be treated a little more gently than a solid-colour one.

Yellow

How to wear coloured moissanite
A single fancy-colour piece is the easiest way in — coloured studs or a coloured ring set against otherwise neutral jewellery. If you are mixing colours, keep the metals consistent (all silver, or all gold-toned) so the look reads as considered rather than busy. And because rainbow moissanite is surface-coated, take it off before cleaning products, perfume and swimming to keep the finish looking its best.
